The upstairs tent is designed to keep you sheltered from the elements in all four seasons. It sheds rain, snow, hail, wind, and the summer sun.

Made from 300D honeycomb ripstop, the tent is fully waterproof, with exterior rain doors that can be closed up with the slide of a zipper. No need to deploy a fussy rainfly when the weather turns stormy. The wedge shape stands up to extreme weather better than any other popup design.

Critical exterior seams are heat welded for waterproofness using the same laminating processes used to construct high-end technical jackets.

Ventilation is a key component of staying comfortable inside a tent, which is why the GFC Platform Camper was designed with passive ventilation in mind. Each door provides a lower perimeter air intake to ensure adequate airflow, while the forward side windows can be partially opened even in a rainstorm to create a crossflow effect that ensures adequate ventilation.

And when the weather is fair, the rain doors can be rolled up to reveal panoramic mesh inner doors made from a specialized no-see-um rated weave that provides both shade and incredible airflow.

The sleeping area can be accessed in several different ways, starting with our proprietary Transform-A-Floor design that allows pass through from the truck bed into the upstairs sleeping area. It’s easy to move from the truck bed to the tent and back again without ever going outside.

You can also access the sleeping area from outside the bed using our ladder and either the rear or optional side doors on the tent. This is a great option if you frequently get up in the night or if you carry a lot of gear and find your truck bed is always full of stuff.

We spent more than a year developing the Turbo-Nap mattress and we think it’s hands-down the most comfortable mattress on the truck camper market.

And unlike an air mattress that’s prone to leaking and always needs adjustment as the temperature changes, the Turbo-Nap will withstand years of abuse and never needs to be topped off.

The Turbo-Nap is a significant improvement over our previous mattress and might just be the best sleep you’ve ever had.

The tent can be ordered in one of two different fabric colors: Tangerine Orange, or Stone Grey.

Both colors offer the same weatherproof performance, so the choice comes down to personal preference.

The Tangerine makes for a warm and cozy interior glow that’s much appreciated on those cold winter mornings, while the Stone Grey is more subdued and blends in with the surroundings (while still offering a warm-toned hue on the inside.)

You can’t go wrong either way.

The GFC Platform camper isn’t just a tent, it’s also an incredibly strong topper that protects the items in your truck bed from the weather and theft.

All three access panels are made from 5052 aluminum and feature two locks per panel for added security. Our new locks were designed specifically for off-road applications and feature an improved dust flap to protect the core from gumming up (something that was sometimes an issue with our old locks), a smoother action, and the new key design allows the key to be inserted in either orientation for hassle-free actuation. Optional weather covers ensure reliable latching even in extreme weather and dusty environments.

The panels open using our proprietary Embassy Hinge design. It’s modeled after the hinges used in US embassies and noted for its ability to resist forced entry via gunfire. Needless to say, it’s the strongest hinge on the market and we’ve never had one fail. Overkill? Maybe. But that’s one less thing to worry about when you’re dodging cactus down in Baja or threading rocks on the Rubicon.

A truck bed’s not that useful if you can’t access your stuff. The GFC offers total access to all three sides of your truck bed. And we’re not talking about a little access port. We’re talking the ENTIRE side opens up. So much so that we have a special name for it: Cabana Mode.

Cabana Mode creates the feeling of being outside while you’re inside. When you’re hanging out in the camper it’s like having a 270 degree window on the world. The feeling of being in a little box disappears and the sense of being in the environment while also being sheltered takes its place. It’s hard to describe in words, but once you experience Cabana mode you’ll understand.

And all that massive opening means you can easily access anything in your bed with ease. The opening is bigger than it looks in pictures. Even with the bracing, you can still pass a full sized cooler through the side. The side access is often mentioned as people’s favorite thing about their day-to-day experience with the camper.

Our campers are optimized first and foremost for durability. We want you to be able to drive your truck anywhere you want (no matter how modified your truck is) and not have to worry about your camper. That’s why we use the same design approach used by nearly every professional off-road race team: the space frame.

When you open up our camper you’ll see the triangulated bracing on every side of the camper. That’s what let’s us create a shockingly durable camper that weighs less than every other camper on the market. That’s no small feat. Again, maybe that’s overkill. But our mission is to remove any limitations on the driving experience. And we want our campers to last a long long time. So overkill it is.

Our optional tempered automotive grade windows allow you to still use your rear view mirror. Choose to run no rear window for more privacy when standing up to change, or added security.

The space frame comes standard with exterior-grade black anodizing and will withstand a lifetime of abuse.

And the lower panels come powder coated in one of nine different color options. Choose a color to match your wheels, or your own personal aesthetic. Red is for the daring. Or just get black, which is what most of our customers do because it goes with everything.

Every camper comes standard with our off-road bed mounting system. Billet-machined tube clamps specifically tailored to your truck model keep the camper firmly locked in place, even when your driving gets a little spicy.

Compared to standard topper and camper mounts, the GFC mounts provide way more beef, grade 8 hardware, and are ready to charge the whoops (even if your truck’s not). Say goodbye to shifting campers and broken mounts.

The GFC Platform camper is the lowest-profile camper on the market. We believe this is important for a number of reasons. One, so your truck has a chance of fitting in your garage, and two, because weight up high has the most impact on the driving experience.

Every pound you can remove or lower will make your truck handle noticeably better. Lower profile also looks better. Win win.

We believe that the biggest downside to any slide-in camper, trailer, or RV is that they are no fun to drive. A truck is an incredible tool for exploration. The drive should be just as much fun as the destination.

Arrive to our installation showroom at the date and time you scheduled when you purchased and enjoy a drink while you watch your camper be installed. Experience your new build for the first time with an expert walkthrough, add any accessories you may want, and you're off on your first adventure with your new GFC!

Installation at a Partner Shop:
Your camper is loaded into a trailer with the destination of your chosen installation shop, on the exact date confirmed in your welcome email. This date is the same as the current shipping date(s) in the lead-time table.

Keep your entire truck bed free of clutter with our Cabinet System. Divided bays and adjustable shelves let you organize your gear into cubbies so you don’t have to spend time strapping things down, even off road.

The Cabinet System can be ordered with your Platform Topper and installed with it, or flat-packed and shipped to your door for easy DIY assembly and installation on any V2 Platform Topper or Camper.

It is affixed to the lower frame by utilizing the upper well-nut holes (upgraded to Plus Nuts), and a steel mount that is captive between the upper and lower bed mounts. These mounting rails allow for easy installation and removal of the cabinet by 1-2 people, and provide rigidity to the system.

Our BEEF Rack crossbars were designed specifically for the Platform Camper and RTT. They feature a beefy cross section for load stability off-road and have the same T-slot for attaching accessories as the camper.

They also sit low to the camper roof, adding only 2.5” to the overall height. And they have no protrusions sticking up above the bar, making it easy to load and unload large items such as boats and surfboards from the rack.

The GFC Platform Camper is literally covered in T-tracks that allow you to bolt all kinds of things to your camper inside and out. Our T-nut system allows attachment at any point without having to slide a nut in from the end of the track.

With an ever-growing ecosystem (GFC and aftermarket) of accessories, if you can think it, you can mount it. Easily and sturdily mount awnings, lights, pull down straps, ladders, roof rack bars, solar panels, and who knows what else. T-tracks make it possible and the GFC has a lot of them.

Just like our campers, our accessories are made from a lot of machined billet parts. Awning mounts, QD attachment points and pull straps, light mounts, etc. all feature race-car level components not typically found on a camper.

It’s the details that matter and GFC accessories have no peer.

Our fitted sheet sets not only help you keep your camper clean and cozy, but they also help put a smile on your face every time you pop your tent open. Every week we release a limited quantity of a new pattern.

We’ve got Bear sheets available now, with a new pattern dropped every week (weird stuff like space, pretzels, cactus, and breakfast eggs coming soon). 

There are ordinary ladders, and then there are those that use Mantis Claws. Our proprietary Mantis Claws offer a major upgrade for tubular, collapsible ladders, allowing them to be quickly mounted along the extrusion track of the Platform Camper and Platform RTT for easy attachment and removal.

Additionally, they protect your rig and camper panels by moving the ladder into a more upright position and away from your vehicle's sides. The Mantis Claws, along with our 8' collapsible ladder, easily stow when not-in-use.
